Why did your family decide to attend North Carolina A&T?
Taina – I decided to attend North Carolina A&T in 1994 because it was the top HBCU in North Carolina and also it had one of the best elementary education program.
My daughter chose to follow in my footsteps because from the time she was born; that was all she knew.
My son chose A&T because it has the top engineering schools in N.C.
How has A&T changed over the years?
When I attended A&T in 1994 the campus was surrounded by houses. In 1999, they started transportation but instead of buses, it was only 2 vans. As of today, most of the houses are gone and there are several more new dorms. I love the new Student Union and the Health Clinic.
