Why did your family decide to attend North Carolina A&T?
My father, Eli Alford, Jr. has had lifetime stadium seats since we were children. My brother Jonathan and I attended the Child Development Lab growing up on campus. Our mother, Dr. Sylvia Bembry, taught at A&T in the business school. A&T played such a huge role in our lives growing up. We both attended GAMSEC, and other summer programs growing up.
A&T has always felt like home.
How has A&T changed over the years?
N.C. A&T has grown! There are so many resources that really support students and alumni. Most importantly, there is a stronger sense of community and pride.
What are the ways your family has given back to A&T?
We make donations as alumni and we mentor students.
